About Modello USA
Modello USA is a hands-on design studio. Literally. Initial hand sketches begin as simple drawings, then are embellished with shadow and color. Full-scale and fully functional prototypes follow, a process that employs the studio’s unique and rounded skill set, from design to manufacturing and engineering. Prototype iterations refine the product and serve as the master model for creating the digitized images from which products are manufactured. Modello USA, which specializes in the design of ergonomic seating, is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Designed for anywhere and anyone, the stackable 21 chair’s roomy seat pan and subtly curved back and seat slats invite you to settle in and relax. The 21 chair’s simple form and honest approach to materials and construction lend a casual personality to outdoor spaces. It’s metal tube frame, chamfer-edged die-cast aluminum slatted seat and back, and 21-inch-wide seat create comfortable surfaces that invite multiple postures. The chair’s arms are angled for natural support. The chair comes with or without arms and can be stacked up to four chairs high.
